You are killing the image of a legend…you are killing the image of an artist. After looking into this mathematical concept and the actual art of M.C. Escher (specifically "The Print"), I have found that you have looked way too far into the subject. Has anyone else failed to see that the founders of this concept have over-evaluated this piece to a frightful extreme? Look at the original print...it is beautiful and a masterpiece to say the least, but all of this is unnecessary and meaningless babbling. It's much like how you can crease a dollar bill to make a mushroom appear or see the twin towers. This site is, of course, much more complex and interesting, but still the same thing: manipulation. This site makes people believe M.C. Escher's art was something it was not and leads people to believe he was someone that he was not. Escher was an amazing artist and a wonderful man. He was not a mathematician and his works never involved equations. Escher failed out of school! He wasn't stupid, but he was no Einstein either. Escher is a genius is his own genre: Art. Although impressive, the makers of this site are ruining the real Escher and his art. You are doing more harm than good by changing who this brilliant man was. Mr. Escher, I apologize for the actions of these people and pray that your mark on the world stays as you left it when you died and not how these men have manipulated it. –Ryan Thompson
Feel free to write me with comments everyone; I want to know if this site/concept has made you think M.C. Escher was something he was not or did something he did not.
