Location
The conference will take place on the island of Schiermonnikoog. This is one of the Frisian islands (Dutch: Waddeneilanden), a chain of islands starting off the north-west coast of the Netherlands and continuing into Germany. Schiermonnikoog is a popular holiday destination and offers beaches, restaurants and cafés along with outdoor activities such as walking and cycling. Visitors are not permitted to bring cars onto the island.
Accommodation for invited participants will be in the Hotel van der Werff. The hotel is located in the middle of the village of Schiermonnikoog; there is a shuttle bus to the hotel from the ferry dock. Breakfast and dinner in the hotel every day are included.
Hotel van der Werff
Talks will take place in the Dorpshuis (village hall). This is about five minutes' walk from the hotel. We plan to provide at least one blackboard, as well as a projector.
