MS24 Part 1 of 1 - Multiscale modelling in the life sciences: from stochastic to deterministic dynamics

    Abstract:
Many processes in the life sciences are coupled across multiple scales, leading to new mathematical analysis, numerical simulation, and modelling challenges. A particular area of activity is on how to make the bridge from stochastic modelling (appropriate at small, microscopic levels) to deterministic modelling (typically used at large, macroscale levels).
