MS28 Part 2 of 2 - Data Assimilation and Inverse Modelling

MS28 Part 1 of 2

Abstract:
These days abundant data is being gathered all over the world, ranging from tree rings to satellite images. It is becoming increasingly important to use this data in a smart way in order to stay competitive as we enter the era of data. This may involve inversion or assimilation of data into a complex model, derived from physical laws, in order to decrease model uncertainties. This mini-symposium aims to explore recent novel applications of methodology and algorithms for data assimilation and inference.
