MS35 Part 1 of 2 - Heterogeneities and Patterns

MS35 Part 2 of 2

Abstract:
Heterogeneities and defects in a medium, even small ones, can have large-scale influence on coherent structures and pattern formation. For instance, heterogeneities have been used to pin, rebound, annihilate and even split travelling waves. This MS brings together leading researchers to present recent theoretical and numerical results on the study of heterogeneities and their effects on pattern formation and coherent structures.
